  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Primer -- Informative : Fortunately, I have not yet needed cataract surgery. Of the handful of people I know, it has all gone well. But like any average person, they all had a bunch of questions as to the surgery before having having it performed. Now, if this book had been available to them back when they'd had the surgery, I would have highly suggested it to them. I felt the book was well thought out and easy to read. Covering the operation from the patient's perspective is a great help, and though this is a medical book, it was written patient as friendly. A great book for those of us who are getting on in years. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Rich Marcello -- A Complete and Thorough Guide to Cataract Surgery : The book does a nice job of walking a potential patient through all the information needed to prepare for the first and second cataract surgery including the brightness acuity test, the normal cornea, the LASIK shaped cornea, and the post-surgery eye drop regimen. I found the prose clear and informative with just the right amount of information to educate anyone considering surgery. Highly recommended. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Sefanzed -- Interesting and informative : in understanding not only the procedure but the aftermath and recovery as well. • 4.0 out of 5 stars from John Dyson -- All in all useful, while not breaking any new ground. : The book describes Kady Dash’s and her husband’s experiences with Cataract Surgery. Kady has had one eye operated on (twice!) and her husband has had surgery on both eyes. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Larry Skorupski -- Much needed information : Before you go and get any surgery completed, always have an understanding of the procedure. This books covers the procedure from a patients perspective and discusses some of the complications this person went through. It is a good read with just a couple of typos. It explains some of the key topics like what are cataracts, LASIK and the various surgeries along with what is covered by insurance. Happy Reading! • 5.0 out of 5 stars from David J. West -- Great Info : I have better than 20/20 vision but my wife has difficulty driving at night, so this was a great resource with loads of timely information on what to expect for the sake of what a procedure may be like in the near future.
